About Me

I first became interested in complementary healing therapies, or as some people call them, alternative healing therapies, when a family member who suffered with arthritis underwent a series of reflexology treatments. They made such a huge improvement to his quality of life that I signed up for and trained as a Reflexologist. I later became interested in Reiki and, having completed training in Reiki levels 1 and 2, I was amazed at the beneficial effects it had, not only on the clients I worked with but also on myself.

I was then introduced to and trained in electromagnetic stimulation therapy, which was relatively new to Ireland at the time but has been used in hospitals on the Continent, particularly in France and Germany. I then took a course in Touch for Health-Kinesiology and completed the diploma in kinesiology, which uses muscle testing to find imbalances/weaknesses in the body and various techniques to restore balance and harmony. Apart from its many benefits as a therapy, it may be used to find out which therapy is the most appropriate for the client. I have experienced great success in its use for people with back problems.

The most recent therapy I have studied is phytobiophysics, which is also very powerful in that its flower formulas, which are purely natural, work on body cells that have been affected by traumas/tragedies as far back as childhood which may have contributed to illness or disease that affects the body years later.

All these therapies help the body to heal itself and an important advantage is that they complement, and may be used alongside, conventional medicine.

I am a member of the Irish Reflexologists Institute Limited, Reiki Federation Ireland, the Kinesiology Association of Ireland and the Association of Phytobiophysics. I work from a private practice in the Portlaoise-Stradbally area of Co. Laois. I also make home visits in Laois and neighbouring counties, including Offaly, Kildare, Carlow and Dublin.
